Leider ist in Sachen Neofolk so gut wie nichts in Wien los, letzten Jänner gabs mal einen ziemlich kleinen Versuch mit einer langen Nacht des Neofolk...

Aber weil ich (im Moment) nicht darüber diskutieren will nur eine kleine Anmerkung:
Es geht vielen Leuten weniger darum, den Stil und seine Hörer bashen zu wollen, sondern darum, mal selber zu wissen zu was man gerade auf der Tanzfläche schunkelt oder am MP3-player horcht!
Ich finde durchaus gewisse Elemente dieses Stils interessant (weniger die Selbststilisierung mancher seiner Proponenten), ich finde sogar manche der einfliessenden Denkmuster und Traditionslinien in diesen Stil interessant, andere hingegen lehne ich zutiefst ab, und möchte da nichtmal anstreifen.

Das ist allerdings nicht ganz leicht in der diesem Genre eigentümlichen Gewirr aus semantischen Zweideutigkeiten, beabsichtigten Irreführungen, provokanten Konnotationen und einer beidseitig gelegentlich schrill geführten Debatte!

Für mich persönlich ist diese Diskussion daher nicht beendet, sie hat allerdings auch grössere Ermüdungspausen (von denen ich jetzt gerade eine in Anspruch nehme), da mich andere Gebiete intellektuell oder musikalisch mehr interessieren - und das bei wesentlich weniger Aufwand die Bebrütung zweifelhafter Kuckuckseier zu vermeiden!
