750 Millionen Tonträger - das ist schon bizarr.
MJ war die erste wichtige Musik meines Lebens... und gute Songs hat er 'ne Menge: Beat It, The Way You Make Me Feel, Wanna Be Startin' Somethin', Dirty Diana, Smooth Criminal... Er hat die Songs immerhin selbst geschrieben, was ja heute nicht mehr selbstverständlich ist - und auch einen sehr eigenen Stil entwickelt, z.B. klingen die Songs viel weniger 80ies als die anderer Popstars der Zeit.
Er war halt eine Stilikone, beinahe jeder Mensch der Welt kennt seine Tanzschritte, seine Kleidung, seinen Schrei... das muß einmal wem gelingen. Außerdem find ich's fein, daß der "King of Pop" und kommerziell erfolgreichste Künstler ever eine dermaßen schräge Figur war. Heutzutage würde er schon allein deswegen keine 170 Millionen Alben mehr verkaufen können, weil sich das Kaufverhalten bezüglich CDs etc. drastisch verändert hat.
